Damian C. Echendu O.D,LL. B, M.Sc., FNOA, FAAO, FNCO

Damian is a Ocular Health and Behavioral Optometrist with a range of academic and research experience. He has maintained clinical practice throughout his career (spanning over 29 years) working fulltime in public practice and as a visiting consultant at De-Lens Ophthalmics.

Damian is a recipient of several awards including the Father of Interns Award, Professional Awards for Service Delivery, Fellow of Nigerian Optometric Association (NOA), African Patriotic Personality of the Year award from the League of African Development Students (LEADS Africa) among others.

His clinical interests are in new skills and technologies for the early detection and management of glaucoma and other ocular diseases as well as in behavioral optometry. Damian loves evidence based clinical practice and patient care. He enjoys travelling.
